  1. I hope that offer doesn't mean the flight will fill up as I am hoping to have lots of Gin and Tonic and crash out on a row of aisle seats. Neither do I fancy being sat between 2 travel agents boasting about how they can get flights for 2 quid. BTW Does anyone know if Thai airways from london to bkk has those littel video screens yet? Last time I flew they didn't and the inflight entertainment was crap, food was nice though.
  2. Thanks for the info and advice. I have just booked it now as I couldnt find anything as near as good. I also found out I get 34 inches of legroom, which is better than BA's 31 inches . If anyone else is interested in this deal go to www.ebookers.com
  3. Hello All I just held this flight and I was wondering if there is anything better out there before I confirm it. With the war on and SARS etc there might be even better deals. I am flying from 22nd May to 6th June. It's a fairly low price for a direct flight me thinks. I hope its empty and I can sleep on the aisle seats :) TIA for any useful advance
  4. Well I should have mentioned that I got the Java plug in after reading the previous posts about problems logging on to the chatroom. The problem I have is that pc pc freezes and then unfreezes for a few seconds and freezes again and so on. the only way to resolve it is to reboot. I had the same problem using the file sharing program winmx and resloved it by changing the settings. I think its something to do with network or something but I am fairly useless at using my pc and internet connection unless it invloves playing online games or trawling for porn so excuse my thickness on this occasion. I assumed that the chatroom could be entered using mirc but not sure. Sorry for wasting peoples time with this but I will be back in Pattaya next week and will have no need of chatrooms as I will spend most of my time talking to a pair of tits and a neatly shaven beaver, seasoned with a fine liquer of course.
  5. When i try to go to the chatboard my computer freezes up. I'm using win xp, is there any cure for this or can someone tell me how to get to the chatroom using mirc
  6. as far aas i remember it is 800 baht an hour for jetski, its a fixed price i think as for speed boats, its 1500 to go to an island and back , u might get cheaper, thats a standard tourist price i think, i dunno about hiring a speedboat for half a day.
  7. I just booked with Qatar. I left it a bit late as usual and booked yesterday. i am flying at end of october from london heathrow via doha to bkk. if i hd of booked early the flight would only have cost £365 inc tax but as it happens there were only 4 seats left in the more expensive "lima class", so it was gonna be £525 inc taxes grrrr fortuantely with a bit of calling around i managed to get it for £401 inc taxes if i took insurance priced at £40 quid, i asked the girl if i could cancel the inurance without penalties if i wasnt happy and she said yes, so i did so today as i already have a 12 month policy. i t was really good getting this flight as the stopover in doha is under 2 hours and i can go to the airport straight after work on the friday, maximising my days off and time on holiday. also friends have flown qatar and say they are as good as BA or Swiss. i think they might be able to offer cheaper flights coz the fuel is cheaper for them being an oilproducer and all that but thats an uneducaed guess. I have actually flown Aeroflot and will avoid it in future if possible, not so much because of the carrier but because i had a 9 hour wait in sheramatevo and dont wanna go back to the place again, it was depressing to say the least , they gave me a breakfast coupon which was useless as i wasnt gonna eat the vomit they had on offer so i escaped into the irish bar as soon as it openedwhere i met some aussies and we got merrily drunk together, australians can be useful after all ;-) anyhows aeroflot wasnt that bad, it was basic and fulll of poor riff raff but it was cheap and it had availabilty and the ticket i got allowed me to change my return dates. the thing is i dont care what shit heap i fly in,im not rich so if i can save £200 then i will spend my time on that flight dreaming of all the things i could do with that money in a pattaya gogo bar. the only real downside for me is being depressed when i leave thailand and a little bit more depressed knowing i have to endure 12 or so hours in a crappy aircraft. i will let u guys know about my flight experiance when i get back, one other thing about aeroflot i forgot to mention, i sat next to a plumpy russian girl and she did the most horrendously foul smelling farts, and the plane was full so there was no escaping, good job i wasnt in the smoking section or boom, try and get a seat away from plump russian chicks, i think its all the cabbage and pickled onions they eat
  8. Heres are some links http://www.phatthaya.com/business/churches.htm http://www.issara.com/nikolaus/eng.html I think churches are a good place to pick up a TG actually. Not trying to be crude or anything but I'm sure it's very easy to get into a conversation with one or ask the priest to put a good word in for you ;D I wonder if those catholic thai chicks reject to sex before marriage and contraception??? I'll have to find out on my next trip.
  9. Tom I'm not sure to be honest. I'm guessing you can't because officially I was flying Swissair and they are not part of the star alliance group.
  10. Cheshire Tom Been back in the UK for a few weeks now since my return from LOS. Finally getting over the post holiday blues and plan to head back in OCtober if I can for a couple of weeks. I would definately recommend Swiss at that price. The flight from London to Zurich went in a blink and I only had to wait 2.5 hours before boarding a Thai airways 747 to BKK. I've used Thai before and as usual it was comfortable and the meals were good and there were the complimentary free drinks so I drank Gin and Tonic till I nodded off. The thing about Thai or similar carriers is that the experience can be really good or really bad depending on the cabin crew. This time they were friendly and attentive. I have travelled with them once and they were arseholes but this time I was defintely happy and £460 for a return at short notice with them is well worth it.
  11. Tom Whoops! My mind was clouded with images of scantily-clad gogo bar girls. I completely forgot about the extra time aspect. Lets hope the Spanish air traffic controller strike delays my flight, doubt it ::) I will give a review of my flight when I get back.
  12. I just booked the Swissair flight. The flight is going out at 9.55am on Friday so I guess I'll be watching England v Brazil at Heathrow, should be quite an atmosphere. COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!! The great thing is that if we fail to beat em then at least I have 3 weeks of blissful debauchery to look forward to and if we do beat em, I will have 3 weeks of blissful debauchery to look forrward to.
  13. I suddenly find myself with 3 weeks spare time on my hands from next friday and want to spend it in LOS. I checked out the internet and the best deals I could find departing on or after 21 June are £421 on royal jordanian inc tax, or £458 on swissair inc tax( which will will be crossair to zurich and then thai airways to bkk). I intend to book one of them unless any of you guys are aware of anything better??
