    Thai music

I've been ordering my Thai CDs from Thai Megamart for the past 3 years now. Their CD prices are reasonable and their shipping is cheap.
  2. Gotta agree... I stayed at the Sunshine Hotel during my last trip. Boy were those kebabs terrific after a night of drinking Chang all night. So convenient... Right in front of the hotel...
  3. I cant seem to enter anything in the "Question field". It allows me to enter one character and that is it. Also, how do I create more answer options? Is it OK for me to do a test poll in this area of the board? Thanks! Jon
  4. Upena, I have the same problem (its not really a problem though). I go thru STAR TOURS which, IMHO, has the cheapest airfairs in HAWAII They always charge me the full value of the ticket and cut me a check for the balance. I don't mind it though. I earn mileage on my credit card. I noticed you are arriving in BKK at 10:45 PM on the 16th. Are you by chance flying JAL #71? I will be aboard with you if you do. Jon
  5. Howzit Upena, I wish I knew about that sooner. I'm taking the standard JAL flight which leaves HNL at 12:00 PM and arrives in BKK at 10:45 PM. I leave 2 days shy of the new flights. Jon
  6. Gotta agree with Smitty..... Stephen Leather's work is the best.
  7. TripleG, Thanks for the offer. I sent a reply to your PM with my address. I will be sending a copy to you within a day or two. Ghost - I will be sure to check out your FTP site... Thanks! Aloha, Ryu
  8. It took a helluva lot of time to download it from WINMX, but I got a hold of a COMPLETE VERSION OF PIMSLEURS THAI LESSONS VOLUME 1 - 10 (mp3 format). It's actually pretty good. Let me know if a couple of you guys are interested in a copy. I'd more than happy to mail it to you (I will pay for the mailing charges). The only catch is, after receiving it from me, you will have to burn a copy for someone else who is interested and pass it on. Fair enough huh? Aloha, Ryu
  9. Hey Pete, Count me in. I'm all for it too... Ryu
  10. Akr, I usually arrive in BKK at 12 AM. I recommend staying in BKK for the night and catching the first bus in the morning from Ekkamai Station. Besides, if you were to get a ride to PTY from BKK at 2 in the morning, you would get there at about 3am to 4am. Not a lot to look and see that late at night. Ryu
  11. Howzit Jimmy (my fellow Islander), I use Panicware's Pop Up Stopper. Got it free from: http://tucows.oceanic.com/ I hope its still there. Program is really good. Ryu9090

    Hat Yai

Lady Houses are most abundant in Hat Yai. Its about 1000 to 1500 baht for an all day reservation. There is a Traditional Thai massage place located in the Sakura hotel. Their "unique" massage was awesome. Went to only one soapy massage there. It was at a place called PINK LADY. I stayed at the Lee Gardens Hotel. I think it was about 550 baht a night. The hotel isnt bad, and the service was good. FYI: There arent many farangs in Hat Yai due to the fact that almost all of the tourists come from Malaysia. Let me know how it goes.... ;D Ryu9090
  13. If anyone from this board is from Hawaii, there are THAI classses offered here at your local Adult Education School. Theres beginning THAI and advanced THAI. Both for about $35 each. Each session is about 3 hours long and you meet up twice a week for 6 weeks. I'm enrolled in it right now at the KAIMUKI campus. It's not exactly THAI 101, but it definitely helps!!! RYU9090
