  1. The Welcome Plaza Hotel is located on 2nd Road across fron the eastern entrance to Pattayaland 2. The place is only a few years old and it has 2 swimming pools. Rates start at $25 per night and it is guest friendly....
  2. Dougie, I live in Los Angeles and I speak very little thai. When I was in LOS last summer, I brought along a portable DVD with some porn discs (I always hide them with my music CD's in case my luggage is searched by Thai customs and I leave the plastic cases with the movie info at home). When I am unable to tell my girl(s) what I want them to do to me, I simply pop in one of my favorite discs and simply point to the TV then point down to my best friend. You can guess the results. Apparently, the DVDs help bridge the language gap (picture's worth a thousand words), so they do serve a purpose. J
  3. Thanks for the tip Torrenova, but with my style of partying, I had best stick to a 2 or 3 star hotel. Besides, I don't want to spend more than $30 per nite.... 8)
  4. ExPat, I would be happy with any info you could offer on either hotel (pool, in-room safe, guest friendly, etc). I am trying to find a room close to Nana Plaza that offers all 3 of these amenities. Thanks again for any info you can share... 8)
  5. I was wondering if any of the board brothers were familiar with the Golden Gate on Soi 2, off of Sukhumvit. I have been searching the web for any info on this place, but haven't found anything. If any board members have stayed there or know anything about this place, please let me know. Thanks... 8)
  6. When staying in Bangkok, check out the Majestic Suites on Sukhumvit and Soi 4. The rooms are clean with a fridge in each room that makes ice via ice trays, plus there is an electric safe in the closet. You get a free breakfast (in house restaurant) and the rates are low. You are 100 feet from the entrance to Nana Entertainment Plaza and there is no problem bringing girls or outside groceries back to your room. Friendly staff, too. I'll be staying there again in September.
