  1. Hi Guys i know this is a pattaya hotel forum but need some advice. Im going from Pattaya in October for 7 nights to Phuket, as ive never been before. Can anyone advise on a good BG friendly Guesthouse or Hotel near to the Bars. I do like a nice nights sleep so would prefer not right on top of the area. Im looking to spend about 1200 bht a night as its still low season. Thanks and all advise welcolm
  2. Angkor Wat!! Man are you sure??? The only thing i wanna do when i go to The LOS, is do my sight seeing up Soi 6 or Walking Street, not some flakey old ruin yawn yaawn Yaaaawn. Do you have a little camera arround your neck and big floopy hat? You could always join one of the Chinese or Japaneese tour buses and follow on like a sheep. Therefore the only shooting i will do in LOS is not with a camera, and stuff Camodia Vietnam and Laos......Think positive Think Pattaya!!!
  3. Hi! if 600bht is your price then i would just turn up in Pattaya and go look at the rooms yourself. There are plenty of Guest houses and old hotels you will be able to walk into and get a room. If you want to book then i would go for the Queen Vic on Soi 6, proberly one of the cleanest and nicest places ive stayed for that price. But really you will have no problem getting a room for that money, even in high season. Its normally the higher priced rooms that tend to become more scarce and therefore i would book a few weeks before arrival. Good luck
  4. A few years back when i stayed, it was called The Royal Garden then, they charged bt 500 a night to take guests back. Looks like things might have changed with the name!!
  5. Hi has anyone stayed here yet as ive booked for latter in the year and am worried how far it is from walking street/ second road? The website sounds great and there e mail response was very fast. Also i like to go to Jomtien and how easey from there would that be? Thanks
  6. I checked out on Saturday as i was going to Chaing mai for a couple of days, Queen vic is a great place to stay. I had one of the old dlx rooms but still a great room. Vic is a great guy and i hope the opening went ok on Sat.
  7. I stayed in Welcome Plaza last year for 1 night then checked out. Bus loads of Chinese Tourists everywhere, and more roaches in the room than i care to mention. In fact i never saw the night out i moved at 2 in the morning. Never stayed at Lek but ive used there pool which was ok. For the same money as the Welcome you can get a nice place if you look about
  8. Well that bought a smile to my lips, I suppose that could only happen in the LOS. Thou several years ago i went to pay my bill at the end of a 2 week stay at the Dusit hotel. I had Given my Credit card details on Checkin and told the desk clerk that i would pay the remainder in cash on departure. Having been a good customer for years at this hotel i was told "No problem". On the day of my departure i went to settle my bill and was asked by the desk clerk ( a different one to checkin ), for my credit card. I told her that i was paying in cash and proceeded to open my wallet to get the cash out
  9. I took a short time room at the Prince Hotel a few years back. And it was ok for just that. I wouldnt stay there longer than a few hours.
