I am surprised to hear this as I have lived on the 7th floor in the Metropole for 3 years and have seen only 2 roaches in that time. Did you report the problem and what was the response? Interbrit

Is it now definite that you can come in on a tourist (30 day) visa and then get a 'retirement' visa issued in Thailand or was the above poster's experience a one-off? This would save me a lot of hassle but I should like to be sure before I arrive. Thanks. Interbrit
