correct, no aircon but very good cross ventilation, nice cooling breezes & 2 fans. Some people find aircon affects thier health.

Hey guys, coming up to the peak period now, many of u will be arriving here looking for accommodation. Just thought would let anyone looking, who is on a limited budget, l have been told by a thai friend of a room becoming available from next week. lt is a large room on the 3rd floor of a brand new apartment block, with coast highrise views & cool sea breezes. lt is a little out of town located on soi Yume near Pattaya Nua, about half a km from the bus station. lt has a motorbike taxi outside the door & just a short walk from the regular Pattaya Nua bahtbuses into town. lt has a large bathroom & balcony with a big fridge & kitchen area, large remote TV with 99 channel Sophon cable, queensize ensemble with bedlinen, 2 side tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe & a very comfortable sofa. l was told for a lease less than 6 months it is only 6000baht/month plus water, elect & 200baht/month for Sophon. For those that r interested. U can sit on the beach & have free wifi 4 as long as ur battery will last around soi 4 & 5, beach road, Pattaya. ofcourse u could also just go to the source & sit in the lobby of the Northshore Hotel in soi 5 & plug ur laptop into a wall socket & b online 4 free all day if u wish. l often sit on the beach while online for a couple of hours there without useing a plug in high gain antenna, using only the built-in LAN in my laptop. As l'm fairly new to town, l would appreciate advice on where around Pattaya l can purchase second hand household goods or of websites where same are advertised. Amongst many items, l am currently looking for a second hand working fridge or 2, a second hand working VCR player/recorder (not dvd) & a couple of those hang in the shower electric water heaters. lf any of u guys may know of any1 selling these, please let me know.

just wondering if anyone knows where l can find an UNFURNISHED room or condo in a central Pattaya or Jomtien location available for rent now. l have enough quality furniture that l wish to make use of.

Hey guys, thnx for the list of free wi-fi locals around town, found them very useful. Just wondering if anyone knows of a location where u can sit on the beach & pic up free wi-fi. Tried a couple of places around Pats & Jomtien without success.

Hey Guys, l have a 1 year multiple entry visa B expiring December. l ofcourse have to leave every 3 months & get a new stamp. l paid a local thai lawyer to get me a work permit & a new visa issued here. My lawyer took my passport over a week ago to get a new visa issued. Problem is the stamp l got on my last visa run expires 31 October, now! So, can't do a visa run cause lawyer has my passport. Went to immigration, explained it to them, even showed reciept proving my lawyer has my passport. They say l will be fined 500baht for every day of overstay ! My lawyer says l have nothing to worry about, she will take care of it. Any suggestions & advise appreciated.

Hey guys, l'm 40yo Dave from oz, (farangatang). Been living mostly in Pattaya for the last 6 months. Not much of a bar goer, drinker or whoremonger, prefer the extralongtime GFE. Anyway, seeking all ur valuable experienced advise concerning finding a fairly new furnished room in Phuket. Will be driving there alone first week of November (have ute & thai licence) current gf not coming. Seeking trustworthy company for the trip, prefer thai speaking farang (maybe 1 of u guys or if u know of some1 interested) my first choice, or english speaking thai person-last choice. Have room in ute (pick-up) for their luggage. Don't expect u to share fuel costs in exchange for ur help & advise on the way, but up to the individual. So, free driving holiday south for the right person! Will drop off travelling company anywhere in Phuket, or before, to go there own way. Will stop at some tourist sites on the way. l am moving to Phuket long term, so seeking advise on finding a fairly new apartment block, furnished condo etc, without pool, with or without a/c, for around 5-10,000baht/month, in or near Phuket. Outside of Phuket is fine, prefer near a beach. Suggestions of websites to find accommodation appreciated.
