I got the information from the hotel saying it's now accesible from Beach Rd. But not from 2nd Rd, and she couldn't tell when or approx when it would be. Unless 2nd Rd is reachable by foot (or take a motorbike taxi) it makes it a bit tricky If going to soi Diana/soi LK Metro or soi Buakaw. Quite a luxury problem, but still ...

What does it mean: They dig up the soi? Isn't the hotell accessible with car or motorbike?

Maybe it was me who cancelled. I stayed there for 10 days or so, but I cancelled am extension for 2 days. This was Feb 1. (???) Anyway, great place, bar, location and staff. If I didn' book 2 trips at the same time at different apts, I would stay at MA again. Definately recommended.

I have a friend currently staying there. As you say a bit far from the action, and you actually need to plan ahead if you will go out for the night. Usually motorbike taxis will be there within 5-10 mins, but sometimes you have to wait longer. The place itself looked OK enough, but for the price I would have picked somewhere more central. I think my friend pays 21K/month for his corner apartmenet, which has a kitchenette and separate bedroom. The rooms have small TVs and the TV-connection isn't the best either, so my friend bought a new TV and ordered a new line from Sophon (with sport channels). The one thing that will bugger you the most though is that the area is mosquito infested. When I drove my bike from the resort and took the back way so I ended up at the road to Jomtien I must have swallowed at least a kg of them. The pool area and security looked OK though. From what I could hear there were many french staying there. The place was also raided by the police cos some french lads had a "drug party" with some thai ladies (ref pattayaone.net) a few months ago.
