I wondered the same thing myself so I tried the place for a week. I was on the top floor facing the ocean. It's a million dollar view, but there's no elevator... The room itself had a small TV and a small refrigerator, and two single beds bolted together to make a king size bed. There's no bathtub, only a shower. The safe deposit boxes are at reception. I paid 1250 Baht, I think. There's no problem with guests, from what I could tell. And one other thing. The food across the street at the pool is pretty good. If I can figure out how, I'll put some pics in the Gallery.

I stayed at the Sabai Lodge in November of this year and paid 950 Baht for a "Deluxe Non-smoking B" room. I liked the place just fine.

Last month I travelled from Washingtom DC to Bangkok round trip on NWA for $723.50. Yesterday, I checked their website and they want $1100+ for a R/T ticket in July. Maybe I'll wait to book my next flight. Rex

Has anyone here ever stayed at the Windy Inn? The rooms look nice and there's an ocean view. Rex

Thanks. I'm gtrying to plan a trip, but haven't figured out where to stay. I'd like to find someplace fairly quiet, but yet close to food, massage places, and bars - all within walking distance. I'm not too worried about the price, but then again, I don't want to spend money for nothing. Rex

I've seen plenty of maps of Pattaya, but none of them have a legend so I can tell how far it is from place to place. So, does anyone have a guess as to how far it would be from North Pattaya to South Pattaya. Three miles? More? Rex
