Great photos!

I don't mind Starbucks coffee (although far from my favorite) and I do like siting on the rooftop of Starbucks on Beach road but... I just think Starbucks is so over priced and so try to avoid it unless I am in serious need. There are places all over that serve real coffee at pretty much the same standard for about 20-40baht. Plus it's I think its nicer to support and so help maintain these smaller independent places.

I've stayed at Town Lodge a couple of times and always thought it was pretty good. The lack of evelovator is a little bit of a pain (I don't travel light!) but no big deal. Both times there were quite a few mosquitos but maybe I was just unlucky. I stayed there a few months ago for 2 nights as I wanted somewhere cheap and out the way - the price then was 1000baht on the door. I'd always be happy to stay there again although do think Baileys studio just around the corner (down a shortcut alley to Soi 20) is very good (very big room, flat screen tv and with small kitchenette area) for the same p
