  1. Yes malcontented, it's J&P Stainless, as you said. I got the initials wrong, from memory, which ain't what it used to be! I did wander into the innards of those shops that you mention Admiral Ken, but still didn't find what I wanted. I asked a couple people, and they did find me a 5 Kilogram scale that was wrong for weighing food. But trying to explain what I wanted in English was hard! One guy understood, and showed me the too big scale. Great shop for finding cooking stuff, odds and ends for the house, or your shop, or your food cart!
  2. Thanks for the tips! I found what I wanted on Third Road at S&J Stainless, across from Tony's, which has lots of good cooking gear, pots, pans, coffee makers, stoves, waffle makes, utencils, and of course, small food scales. I checked that market mentioned above but they didn't have exactly what I wanted.
  3. I am looking to buy a small scale to measure food. Trying to follow a plan to lose some weight. I need a scale that can measure 100 grams, 150 grams, 200 grams, etc. Yes, I am REALLY planning to use it for food! I have been to HomePro, CarreFour, Lotus, no luck. Carrefour sales lady said "Finished". I love that word for "not in stock". :-) Should I try Numchai? Tuk.com? TIA!
  4. I am flying to BKK from Tokyo via Cathay Airlines. I have one stop in Hong Kong. Can I make a 1-hour connection between two Cathay flights in the Hong Hong airport or should I change the ticket? I will have a small carry-on and 2 bags checked through. I have someone to meet me in BKK but they will not be happy if I miss the connection and I don't have a good way to contact them. I am looking forward to returning to Amazing Thailand! TIA!
  5. I just got back from a 2 week Pattaya trip and I stayed at VT6, 17-610. The location is excellent, car and foot entrance on 2nd, foot entrance on Beach, short walk to the ocean, short walk to Central Village, which has a food market, a food court, restraurants, cinema, bars, shopping. Cool place. The noise you will hear is from the building of the Hilton Hotel, which won't be done until Q3. You will hear it for sure, I hope you are not on that side. I really liked VT6, but my many night BG did not. They have a very good, very legit Thai massage (loved it) shop there, laundry, coffee shop
