  1. That is a very good point, I have eaten at Kiss foods on many occasions, usually in the company of a local lady, and I have never had a bad meal, despite what the snobs say. Funnily enough, many who bad mouth Kiss for example do not even like Thai food. I compare it to the 'brits abroad' who go to Spain and want fish and chips and think the local food is rancid. Maybe the seasonings used in somewhere like Bob's aren't the exact same as someone is used to=rancid. I know many people who consider a dish with corriander rancid, where in fact it is just that they don't like the taste of the herb, just my few satangs worth.
  2. Thanks for understanding
  3. If you work-right, loads of farangs have work permits, not! Education-limited time-LEARNING THE THAI LANGUAGE Retired Married What is the etc etc? You are trying to fill in the hole you have dug by quoting visa possibilities for a very small number of farangs.
  4. I will make it easy and quote the relevant part for you. It is obvious to anyone that the Thai government does not want farangs in Thailand because it makes it deliberetly difficult for Thaiophiles to remain in Thailand without jumping through hoops and in many cases making boarder runs. It does however like the money that farangs bring to Thailand,
  5. Why not go back and read what I said instead of making your own version up.
  6. You did not read the important part of what I said"It does however like the money that farangs bring to Thailand"
  7. Ah, no edit function, substitute that country's language for English.
  8. Well let me explain. It is obvious to anyone that the Thai government does not want farangs in Thailand because it makes it deliberetly difficult for Thaiophiles to remain in Thailand without jumping through hoops and in many cases making boarder runs. It does however like the money that farangs bring to Thailand, however with its increasingly tightened policies re obtaining a visa extension, it scored a massive own goal by insisting farangs leave the country, giving its land boarder neighbours money from farangs who get a new visa there as well as the money they spend in that country during an overnight (at least) stay. Given the stupidity of the boarder run policy, some Thai official with the rare ability to think outside the square could decide that there is actually money to be made from the farangs who do boarder runs (excluding the tourist visas). I can imagine the ability to renew certain visas (more than you already can) within Thailand, for a fee, and the requirement to take a Thai language exam or course every year, generating more income and pissing off many, hence satisfying another need. Given that the UK and some other, I am not sure, maybe all European Union countries have decided on an English language requirement for residency in those countries, it is not a thought completely left of field. That is why I reckon.
  9. How long do you think it will be before there is a language requirement for farang to live in Thailand? Would be on the cards I reckon.
  10. It will be interesting to see how the authorities in the countries deal with asshole supporters.
  11. Looks like the last think he needs is fried chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
