Believe you are around that part of BKK for a long time. (on & off) How long did you really live there??? How well did you really know Sukhumvit or Klong Toy in those days? When you first arrived??? Not too well assume. Do you really know what Soi 22 (Soi Nam Thip) or Klong Toy was all about & what went on there in the late 60th early 70th??? (used to live there for almost 3 years) Have you ever known or spend some time in the "Mosquito Bar, Ship's Inn or "Golden Gate" Disco? (The old harbor) Don't think so! Did you ever live or even spend a few nights in Klong Toy back

Agree with you, got personally nothing against Africans (don't like Arabs too much) & not suggesting they are all crooks & scammers. But that particular bunch hanging out in Soi 5 at the bar next to Foodland are BAD NEWS! Must have come to BKK very much about the same time as you did. Lived from early 1979 to 82 in Sukhumvit. Grace & Therme Coffeshops where the places to go. Nana Plaza didn't exist, think there was just one Bar called "Lucky Luke"run by an Austrian chap. Great times !!

You're right my mistake mate. Downed a few stubbies last nite, perhaps a couple to many.

Used to be one of my favored watering holes until that scum started to show up & took over the place. Unavoidably got to know quite a few of them. WHAT do YOU know??? ..... not much at all it seems.

Easy to bust them all, they're hanging out at a little bar in Soi 5 next to Foodland. Most of them are Liberians and it's not only drugs they are in. (Prostitution, Blood Diamonds & all sorts of other scams). Met a chap a few years back who was known by the name "General Mosquito" was looting Liberia with James Taylor (President) together. Hope the Thais are waking up & are getting rid of this black scum a.s.a.p. !!!

Been going to Pattaya Beer Garden for more than 18 month. The quality of the food, value for money & the service (friendliness of the staff) used to be spot on. Lovely place even to take family & kids out for a good meal. The experience on my last 2 visits wasn't that great. Having a table for 2, my partner went to get some Som Tum, but got turned off when she saw a lot of tiny roaches crawling around the place. When I mentioned it to the waitress just got a smile & she couldn't do anything about it, cause it's been sprayed last night. (didn't even cover or close it) I
