There are two Amari hotels at the same location. The Ocean Tower and Garden Wing. I stayed at the Ocean Tower. From the attitude of the staff you feel that it's not really girl friendly but they never asked for a joiner fee when I stayed there. I any case make certain that you check in for 2 people and tell them at that your "friend" will arrive later. Most of the time this is enough to avoid the joiner fee.
