Booked direct with EVA, they cancelled my 19 March flight on 16 March, never heard a word from them ! Airlines just as useless as larger agents.
This wasn't during a pandemic. Apples to oranges

Had that problem once before, now always book direct with airline.

An upgrade to business class?
Nope, when Eva moved BC to the first level they moved economy up. Traveled many times from SFO/SEA upstairs in a 747. Like being in your own small plane.

I am planning my upcoming trip to SEA. Plan on flying Korean Airlines, Prestige class. They fly the 380 out of LAX and the 777 out of SFO. I really hate flying out of LAX. Is there that big of difference once you are up in the air? I also heard that it can get warm on the upper level.
Thanks

Anything can happen with the North Korea thing. Anyway, I wouldn't be booking any tickets with a stop in Seoul. Maybe I'm being paranoid?
Unfortunately, i have already purchased my ticket on Asiana for late December departure.

The passengers on flights with no IFE systems would be in for a rude awakening if the US ever does ban electronics larger than cellphones.
As for long non-stops, I can see it being a bit more convenient for passengers not to connect in
A hub, but the airlines would have to see a market for daily flights to that market. The hub system was setup to enable airlines to fly full planes by consolidating pasengers from many depature points onto one flight to the destination. With more non-stops, many passengers would by SOL. I fly Delta and had to always connect in Tokyo to get to BKK. They now have only 4 US departures ( SEA, PDX, DET and ATL I think) to Tokyo and have dropped BKK completely. The market does not support flying more non-stops from USA. Anyone flying from a LAX, SFO, ORD, IAD..... are forced to fky to a delarture city. If non-stops from more cities are started, it is likely to be a few times a week and not daily.
They fly non-stop out of MSP as well.

In the foreground you can see ashtrays on every table, and approaching from the beach is a very lithe Russian bartender/server.
EDIT IN:
After I took that photo, the "Russian" came by and asked me if I wanted another drink (cranberry juice was delicious on a hot day). I didn't detect any accent during the short interaction, so I am backing off from identifying her as a Russian and will simply say she is a Westerner of unknown national origin.

She is Russian and now working at the Hooters in Bangkok.

Which one do you think would be better? Which one would you choose? I may or may not be with GF. So must be GF.
Thanks

Thanks Gus
I haven't found anything on the net specific to Thai 777 .... but looking at other airlines .... it seems to always be the right hand centre isle seat that doesn't have it ... like EVA .... so I've reserved that for the moment before it fills up! .... will find out for sure in 7 weeks!
Spud
Eva 777 aisle seat row G doesn't have the box

Gents,
Any opinions about using one of these Arrival services that promise to meet you at the plane and get you through Immigration and Customs quickly?
BFS offer it for 850 Bht without the Golf cart.. wondered if anyone had used 'em and what you thought?
Thanks in advance.
It works really well, probably better for me on departure vs. arrival. I will definately use them in the future. BTW all my arriving flights land around noon. Seems to be always busy at that time.

If you are going through Manila, Philippines Air is pretty good.

The problem I have flying over the Atlantic is that I don't get the lost day, traveling to BKK, back. For example I leave Bangkok at 5 PM on Sunday afternoon and when I get off of the plane it is 8 PM on Sunday evening.

I must be missing something but seeing as I usually get through immigration before the baggage comes through I fail to see how I could save any time!
I have taken so long at times when arriving around noon, that all of the luggage from the flight I was on was taken off the belt and another flight's luggage was on the belt. I got to the luggage belt just as the first class luggage came out.

Wow! Thats a LT for some of us and certainly more than the cab to Pattaya. Thanks for the info but I will give this one a miss.
I didn't use the buggy and the cutie does walk quite fast

I have much more money than time. Anything I time I can save standing behind a bunch of Russians I will take anytime. Besides it is only around 30 bucks

Did you mean to say that your suitcase was the first one out?
No last one. I was starting to believe that they had lost my suitcase

Wheels touch runway at 11:59 am on Cathay Pacific flight from HKG. Meet cutie with sign with my name just after I walk off jetway, speed thru immigration, suit case last one to come out. Was at first toll booth on highway at 1:05 PM. Definately will use again when arriving around noon.

I have read many good reports about the meet and escort on arrival, so I signed up for that for my next trip in February. They also have a meet and escort for departures. Has any one tried that? I am more nervous about missing my flight than taking a few extra minutes to get through customs. Any reviews?
Thanks

At this time I suppose it's by taxi
Not much trafic, maybe 1h15 travel
Leave at 5:30 ?
7 am? What time your plane ? After 9 am ?
PS: but always better to wait more than to miss the plane...
My plane leaves at 9:15. I am debating weather I spend the night in BKK or not. If it was my last night in SEA I would definatly stay in Patts, but I am on my way to AC
Thanks

Would a 90 minute transit be doable in Istanbul? I see decent pricing on TK for the time I am planning my holiday.
