  1. Everyone, Can't thank you enough for the input so far...there seems to be a lot of condos available on the Pattayamail.com site. Thanks very much bigtommy and mpn, i'll get in touch with you with specific questions once i am approved hopefully as a board member and can send private messages. Thanks again!
  2. Hello all, New to the forum...I've been to Pattaya several times and did a search in this forum but didn't find exactly what i'm looking for. I apologize in advance for my ignorance in these areas. I have been to Pattaya 2-3x and know what to expect as far as day to day life, etc. I'm looking to come to Pattaya for 1 month and would love to stay up to a year if I find the right price and a place that allows me to work from home on occasional consulting gigs. I also like to play cards online in my spare time. The following are my needs. Any help guiding me the right way, advice etc is really appreciated. Budget - 15,000 -20,000 baht/month rent ideally (maybe a little more for the right place) for studio/1br beginning sometime late summer (i'm flexible on dates) internet - must be secure and 3mb to 6mb and reliable. Is this possible? What are the best locations/condos/providers to seek out I found the dancewatchers.com site and they have some great units but limited availability and a few units are a bit too pricey for me. A view, location, jacuzzi tub are nice to have but not really required. Not picky on Jomtien vs Pattaya, etc. questions: 1. Are there websites I can check for condo listings for stuff available? 2. What internet service is best? 3. As far as visa concerns, is it better to make visa runs or to try to perhaps get a student visa for longer stay. I think it would be interesting to take thai lessons and wouldn't mind investing the 1k or whatever for a year of classes. 4. Any other things to consider? Warnings etc? thanks to all, really appreciate your advice Mike
