Thanks for the reply & the info. The Pratunam Park Hotel looks like a great hotel, and just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, like many of the other hotels in the area, they only seem to publish the room rates up until 31st October. I presume that this must be the cut-off date for the low/high seasons. Guess I’ll just wait for another month or 2 before checking again. It’s just that I would have preferred to get all of the reservations out of the way now, as I will be away on business during that period.

I will be passing through BKK in November with my wife in tow, she will be going on to the Philippines, and I will head out to Pattaya. So basically we need a hotel in BKK for a couple of nights (preferably sub US$ 50 in the Pratunam area). I have tried making reservations in a couple of hotels, but none of them seem to be able or willing to quote a price. Any suggestions on places to try?
