Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

  1. packhike Your dates arn't full on high season, late Dec and yeh maybe a booking. But Oct/Nov, I think you will be safe. good luck.
  2. packhike What your doing is good, just book for a few nights and look around. Have a list done ie; how much you want to spend, facilities you want, location etc, you can do lots of searching on the net. A couple of days and you'll find what you want. I used to freak out and book in somewhere, but now I do what your planning. LOS/Pattaya there are 3 Hotels on every corner.
  3. packhike There are a couple of steakhouses in the Arcade on 2nd rd, opposite Mike shopping mall. Beefeater & Bighorn That may be a good place to start your quest, If you are stopping in BKK, you will have plenty of options. They also reckon that Angus beef is as good as Kobe.
  4. packhike Kobe beef is raised and fed a specific way thats why its so expensive. But the breed of cow that becomes Kobe beef is a Wagyu and is still very good eating and you should be able to find it at more places and cheaper.
  5. 5000 p/m is pushing it a bit if you dont want to be on the other side of Suhkumvit. Dont forget at 5000 you will still have to pay utilities about 1-1500 p/m If you up it a little and wait till you get to LOS heaps of guesthouses around Buckaow/ LK Metro about 7-8000 a month. Dont want to book over the net for a shithole. just gotta do a bit of leg work.
  6. Hub A bit more info I am planning to visit Koh Samet in August and most probably during the week. Thanks for your help. Dan
  7. Dear Members A couple of questions On my next visit to Pattaya planning to go to Koh Samet for a few days. Have done a search through the FLB reports/forums. But there are no real recomendations for any Hotel or if it is better to simply get there, Hire a bike and look around, prebook in Pattaya or go an internet option. Plan on taking a TG friend for 3/4 days. Budget hopefully less than 2000baht a day Accomodation only. Prefer something water/beachfront with modcons, aircon ,shower, TV etc. Many thanks in advance Bigdan
  8. Dear Members Will be in BKK from 2nd till the 5th Feb 04, If anyone is interested in meeting up for a drink or 2 and/or possibly share a ride to Pattaya on the 5th. Cheers Dan
