I agree. Look around for better deals. I stayed for a couple of days, and then moved to the Areca Lodge. Rooms nothing special, and I found the owners kids to be noisy (when I was jet lagged and wanted to sleep). Good luck [smiley=toilet_claw.gif]

If you only need generic reading glasses, my mate bought some of the collapsable frames in case type for 500-600 baht from a stall on beach road around soi 13. There seems to be opticians everywhere, but apart from the attractive assistants I have never seen any customers in them. Does anyone else have experience with progressive lenses, quality and price?

Looks as though I am going to be lucky and be able to spend a month or so in Pattaya 2 or 3 times a year :D. I was wondering if any members have recommendations on hotels or apartments that have storage facilities so that I can keep a suitcase or two and golf clubs, without having to lug them backwards and forwards every trip. Not sure that my trips warrant renting an apartment full time, but it would certainly be nice to have a regular palce with storage facilities.
