  1. We just dipped out on Cathays A350 HKG-MNL which was a shame, I'd like to have had the experience, we went Premium Economy LHR-HKG-MNL all on a 777. To be fair to Cathay, they're 777 fleet is in very good order. The biz and first classes are way beyond anything I've seen on EVA (although technically EVA doesn't operate a first class on the LHR-BKK route).

I often wondered why CP didn't order the A380 and stuck with their 777's instead. They also have some odd routing, running a 777-300ER on a short HKG-MNL hop.

With any luck we've got enough Asia miles for a biz upgrade sometime in the future. I dipped out last time when Mrs Butch used all of them to upgrade herself when she travelled alone last year. I mean, how selfish is that?, just because I put my last flight to LOS on her credit card and "forgot" to pay it back...

The main reason many airlines have not ordered A380's is because of the large amount of passenger baggage, the holds on the aircraft are full of baggage containers therefore no room for very profitable freight/cargo. Also they are not the most reliable.

  2. Not sure about the surround, but, I happen to know Eddie at Yates on Yamoto will be taking delivery of some boards around about the 12th May

  3. I booked EVA for Apr to May for 539. This was about a month ago and I thought the price would go up with VAT increases in the new year. Also with all the bank holidays in apr & may I expected high demand hence prices! Never flow EVA before so hope they are ok!

There is no V.A.T on Air Travel

  4. As I said "Knob" as in prick who thinks he understands Thai people because he lives in Pattaya.

A bit like like saying you have toured America because you have been to Orlando.

If you actually believe sex tourists are somehow highly regarded by the people of Thailand, then you and anyone that agrees with you must be the biggest bunch of know sweet fuck all fucktards of all time on forums.

So Knobhead where did I say that sex tourists are "highly regarded"?

  5. "The rainy season" means it rains at most about 30 minutes a day, with one or two gully-washers a year. If you bend and twist to avoid the rainy season, it's crazy. It's not worth depriving yourself just in case you get wet one night. Maybe.

The hot season this year was a total disaster - practically unliveable, practically. Having a flooded street once or twice was a VERY welcome end to the hot season. If you're going to avoid a season, and there's really no reason to, then the hot season is the one toi avoid.

Winter is indeed really shaping up nicely, too cold too early, if anything.

What the fuck are you talking about ?

  6. Yessir.

But I used it to poke Brits......

You have UK in your Topic Title, and you talk about Brits and wanting to poke them :gulp

Just to let you know Bobby Moore was English , so the chances of you winding up the Welsh and Scots are Zero, and it wasn't a shocking World Cup moment , it was a fit up. :banana :gulp

  7. I must admit at the price I saw (£386) I was sorely tempted, but , the late night arrival and early morning departure would mean 2 nights stay in Bangkok (before and after my Khon Kaen flights) went for the £487 non-stop on EVA (12/10- 03/11) with Southall Travel .

  8. I have been using Canterbury Tales for some years now and never lets me down and the company of guys there is great.

Have tried loads of "English Breakfasts" in Pattaya, but have to say had my best ever 2 weeks ago in a Cafe in the walk through between Papagayos and Kiss Food called "The Little Wonder", not the cheapest at 150bt but 2 Eggs, 2 Bacon, Sausage, Beans, Tomato, Mushroom, Bubble , Fried Slice, Bread and Butter(not sweet cake style bread )and a choice of drink ...Superb!!!!!

  9. .

But I literally have never seen a Thai EVER purchase, let alone open a tin of salmon. Ever. Even in Villa. Even overseas. That's why Carrefour doesn't have it.

Are you the Chairman of Carrefour? If not why would they not stock a product just because you have never seen anyone buy it?
