I was in pattaya for chinese new year earlier this year,the celebrations started at 6 in the morning with firecrackers going off all around our hotel,great when you go to go to sleep at 5am... We took our girlfriends out later that day to the elephant rides for a relaxing afternoon,when some very nice people of the chinese persuasion let off more fireworks next to our elephant,being on a 4 ton elephant whilst it is bucking is a good way to get your honey to hold on to you for dear life So yeah, chinese new year in pattaya.....I would recommend it highly!

I have just spent a really enjoyable week at the residence garden,after spending previous stays at another hotel in central pattaya for the same price I can only recommend the RG to anyone and as another previous post points out the only drawback is the BG who follows you there night after night(my colleague had that very problem) have fun

I was in pattaya last year and was told most everything was closed,I spent all day out scuba diving and went out for a few shandies late in the evening,most beer bars were open ,but very quietly with candles instead of the flashing neon. to be honest it was that bad I took the first early night I'd had in a fortnight and had a proper 8 hours sleep [smiley=zzz.gif]
