There is hotel right behind Apex on the side street between Apex and 7-11. Does anyone know the name of it ? I think it's called Intown Holiday Hotel but I'm not sure. There is another hotel a little bit down the same side street across from a hotel with a street level pool. Does anyone know the name of it ? I'd like to staty at either hotel but don't know the name or contact info. If anyone has the info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance.

I was in the same position as you last year. The plane landed at 2330 in November. I got out of immigration at around 2400. I went to the taxi stand outside of the airport and across the street from the train station to catch a taxi to Pataya. They all quoted something like 1500-2000 bhat. I haggled a little bit with one of them and got one for 700 bhat plus I had to pay all of the tolls. Nighttime is slow so you can probably catch a taxi in the 700-1000 bhat range + tolls. I wouldn't put too much worries into the possiblity of a bankruptcy. It's just a fancy accounting gimic. United Airlines has been in bankruptcy protection for over a year now and all flights have gone to where it needs to go. You should only worry about bankruptcies when you hear the word liquidations somewhere in the same paragraph.

Let it go mate ... don't we all have better things to do then to curse at an invisible person on the net ? Why get angry over someone you don't know, will never know, and probably don't care to ever know ? Lighten up and have a littles sense of humor ... Does anyone here have any good tailors to recommend ? I'm looking for something in the 6000-10000 bhat per suit kind of places not the 2 suits for 4000 bhat places that are everywhere. Also remember that the higher the domonination of your money the higher the exchange rate. Small bills yields lower exchange rates. This also is true ... but to a lower extent ... new crisp bills versus old bills.

Living in the East Coast of the U.S and flying East to reach Asia instead of West is a lot more expensive and the flight options are a lot more limited. That's why I and most folks fly west to reach the Far East. All of the Asian airlines fly west so there a more competitions for your dollar.

Has anyone here flown EVA Airways' Evergreen Delux class ? Is it like flying business class of other airlines as they claimed on their web page ? Any inputs/reviews are greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd hate to burst your bubble before you arrive in BKK but the airport taxi (which is very very reliable) costs only $800 bhat. If you want something really cheaper then that then you might try the taxi stand ourside the airport just off of the bridge/walkway that lead you to the Amri hotel. The taxi stand is right across from the train station. This is literally a 5 minute walk once you get out of immigration. I'm not sure why you are paying $1500 bhat... but you are getting ripped off..... welcome to SEA ... looks like the locals have gotten to you already :)
