Hi shane. If your on a budget the get a mid-day bus from pattaya to moachit bus st' in bangkok. Then take a metered taxi from the designated taxi rank and go to koh san road in banglampu. Go into any travel agent on koh san road and book that night's bus (and boat) to samui. The bus departs around 7pm .... you need to be ready to leave koh san road at 6pm. In theory you leave pattaya at noon one day and get to samui noon the next. Not sure of the exact prices but that is your cheapest way. Well you could get a bus from moachit to koh san rd but hey the difference is only a couple of pints in the big ship. Choc dee. Chillum
