    Tattoos

Christ, I can't understand why the hell you'd want a tattoo in the first place! What the fuck's the point? Are you lacking in self-esteem or adequate identity in some way? Tattoos on the local girls here are a real turn-off. It seems to detract from their feminity and mark them as slags. Please excuse my prejudices ::)
  2. In nz it's a mild form of rebuke more often used by women of older generations such as your mother or your grandmother might have used. It's more often used in a joking, matey sort of a way when old friends make jibes at each other and the response might be 'oh you cheeky cow'. Sometimes it can be used it a bit more seriously if something said by a stranger is disliked.
  3. A couple of days ago I had a soapie at Sabai Room. It was brilliant. At first I was put off by the numbers of punters there, especially Asian tour groups. I then simply asked the host to make a recommendation. At first the girl recommended was a little disconcerted as she thought she was getting an Asian but much prefers falangs, it later transpired. Anyway, beautiful girl, beatiful body, and great attitude/service (#106 I think). There were about 80 girls and very hard to choose from. This was about 8.30 pm and far too many punters for my liking. Just previously I tried Sabia Dee, with o
  4. Does anyone know of any ultra-budget places there (350-500 bt)?
  5. Thanks Landy2a, I did just that - World Nomads online. Very easy and convenient. Cheers DayShift
  6. Ok, thanks chaps, you've convinced me. It looks like my credit card won't qualify. So my next questions are: 1. Where can I buy travel insurance in Pattaya? Travel agents? If so which ones? 2. Which international companies would you recommend? Most reliable, best cover etc. I will only be in Pattaya a couple of weeks before heading back to home country. I have only a couple of days to go before I hit Pattaya, and am coming from another Asian country where I have been working and therefore covered by the job. I don't have time to buy before I leave. Damn! Wish I had thought of it earlie
  7. i.e. medical and general cover etc Does anyone bother? How much is cover? Does anyone know? Any opinions? Is it worth it? DayShift
  8. And what are you going to be doing with the girls in May in Pty, dirtydawg, serial with necrophilia?
  9. I forgot to add the only negative: the ineligibility to join the full members board without having a regular service provider. Some of us are around the world a fair bit and rely on web based email a good deal. Is there any particular reason for that, most other boards don't seem to be worried about it? Cheers
  10. As a newbie here and Pattaya 'virgin', I've found this board and it members very helpful and responsive with much useful information. You get wind-up merchants anywhere to be taken with a grain of salt and as a bit of a laugh. I think they add a bit of colour, and as Pieman says can be ignored as a matter of choice. Many thanks, chaps, for your help and info and keep up the good work I say. Hope to meet some of you in FLB next week. Cheers
  11. Thanks chaps. I've recently tried booking at Welkom Inn by email without response. I daresay I can easily get a room at one of those mentioned on walk-in. Cheers, DayShift
  12. Hi BongoBill. We'll have to figure out some way of making contact if I miss the 3pm bus. Cheers, DayShift
  13. OJ, where is the short time bar? Thanks DayShift
  14. I'm hoping to arrive in time to catch the 3pm bus to Pattaya (March 3) but could be pushing shit. Anyone interested in sharing a taxi or minivan? Cheers
  15. Hi chaps, Due to my travelling circumstances, I need to carry a number of valuables with me. So I'm lookin for a hotel (around the 1000bt or less) that has in-room safety boxes. Also I've read that 'funny' things can happen to ones valuables in hotel reception safety boxes. Of the more popular and well known hotels, can anyone tell me which ones have in-room safety boxes? Cheers DayShift
  16. I'm arriving in Pattaya in early March. My problem is I can't be exactly certain when. My questions are: 1. How feasible is it just to arrive and find a hotel without booking in March? 2. Do most hotels require you to pay accomodation in advance on arrival? Is that fairly standard in Pattaya? I would hate to find myself stuck in a place I don't like much or with other problems. 3. Do you have to pay a deposit when booking? 3. Has anybody got a quick shortlist of the most popular/best places to stay, say 500 - 1000 baht? Somewhere not too far from the action, but not above a lot of noise
  17. I want to buy a one way international ticket in Thailand. Does anyone know if it is reasonably cheap to buy tickets in Pattaya (or Bankok if necessary)? If so, which are the best deals or travel agencies in Pattaya? Basically I'm arriving on a one way ticket from South Korea, and then hope to buy another one way onward to home, in Pattaya. I suspect I will get a much cheaper deal this way than buying the whole deal in Korea. Any information much appreciated, DayShafter
