  1. I'm back in a week, and I'm wondering if there are any new recommendations for a classic good English Fry Up. Now usually I've relied on the Pig & Whistle, but I hear it's gone downhill ?, I've tried many in the past years and always ended up at the P & W. So any new places opened in the last year ? And I'm not after the cheapest, but the best. Tea, toast, eggs, black pudding , sausage, bacon, beans, fried toms. (don't want potatoes or fried bread) Thank in advance..
  2. The point is not so much about how much I pay, but I just cant accept to be made a fool of. If I am paying for a double room, I will not accept that they charge joiner fees (As happened at the Amari resort a few years ago). _ Even worse if they tell me I cant bring guests back. So I'll write them now and see their reply - the hotel looks OK.
  3. As someone said before everyone has his own opinion: Phuket, Nice - Expensive (beer, food and girls), cheap hotels top end Bangla, C&N and the likes. Diving. - clear warm water, about as interesting and challenging as a hot shower. - I booked 5 days and gave up after day 2. there is nothing to see of any great interest. (and it's expensive) Pattaya- Sin city, beach non existant and I would'nt go in the water even with a full dry suit. cheap beer, cheap food and fun girls. Bangkok - has to be done, but 2 days is enough, your hotel is next door to Nana plaza complex and 3 minutes from BTS stn. - so your well located (it should be nice now after rennovation - have they finished?) They have a sister hotel in Pattaya - and once offered transfers between both hotels. So it depends on your budget-if you have the money, go to Phuket, get some dives in, and then move to Pattaya - certainly I'd do it in that order. either do BKK between the 2 or after Pattaya, before returning home. Leave any souvenir shopping to BKK. have fun.
  4. Thanks for the info, had problems in the past with AMARI and thai girls, whats the policy at this new NOVA ? Tims Boutique - can't say Im impressed by the website.
  5. The Sabai resort is nice . - but don't even bother trying breakfast, I would get a motobike every morning and head to the Pig & Whistle or likes for a great fryup. In Big C mall, actually I like the Japanese fast food place (cant remember the name), or even a KFC after a few beers was OK
  6. Hi all, looking for good recommendation for "quality" hotel with wifi, must be GF. I like the Sabai Resort, rooms good Ruan Thai and pool - but last time there no WiFI. I see now the prices are up. So maybe time to change. Of course I want a good location, Jomtein no good for me.. My budget up to 5000 a night. - Be there in a week lads.
