Not sure how you get August from "2005/2/8". There are so many different systems used around the world regarding the order in which the components of a date are listed, that I use year-month-day because that one seems to be pretty much univerally understood (and it sorts correctly when used in lists). However, I obviously just found an exception. Anyway, thanks for the offer Teddy, but the date is set. I'm leaving the Bangkok part of the trip until the end. FYI, the Chinese New Year holidays in China run a full week - Feb, 9 - 15. Most people are off work, and over 100 million travel during this period, although most just go to their hometown to visit family.
