I stayed there during the Songkran Festival earlier this year. It was VERY loud until around 3am...beer bars right next door and all. The room itself that I had was decent - yes, the bed was pretty hard. Overall, the price was ok for the location and service. I ended up paying 700baht....I think? It's been a while, you know. The pub/restaurant was excellent though. Had a good time talking to the 'blokes' right after I got my 6th tattoo.

Just checked for Reno - BKK Nov. 17th to Dec 2nd: $872!! It was almost double that last week.

The Welcome Plaza Hotel is a dump. I stayed there for two nights a last week. First, I had a room looking away from town. Some goddamn roosters woke me up at 8am (after like 1 1/2 hours of sleep). I changed my room to one facing town which was a little better...too bad both rooms were very run down and had MOLD in the bathrooms. Oh yeah, I can't forget about the ants either.

I'm pretty sure I went there and got quoted an astronomical price for a rather simple drawing that I made...see below - I got done at M&J:

I did shop around when I got my forearm tattoo there. Meaw at M & J seemed real cool, had some kick ass work on the walls, and offered a good price. Seems like there's a lot of parlors in Pattaya that are rip offs.

Damn, this is gonna put a damper on one of my days of fun!

CD's should be no problem anywhere....unless you have an ancient CD player that doesn't support CDr's. I have seen some DVD/VCD's coded for different regions in Pattaya.

Just wondering if anyone here has gotten a tattoo in Pattaya? I have had one done there at M & J Tattoos (Soi 15). Any favorites out there?

I just made a reservation with the Welcome Plaza Hotel from Feb 19th - 25th with no problems.
