  1. Card Cloning is a big problem in the UK.According to the news,criminals place a card reading device with micro-camera to read your PIN,as you enter it. An interesting twist to this scam is that now that UK banks are changing over to "Chip`n`Pin" cards,it`s the customer who loses,not the banks....! The banks are saying that it is impossible to clone a "chip`n`pin" card,so if someone clones your card,the uk banks will say that you must have revealed your PIN to someone else.   2. I phone my thai GF every couple of days,from London.......Mobile to mobile, and I pay 10p a minute. If your phoning a landline in Bangkok,it`s only 6p a minute.   4. A friend of mine flies to Thailand on a single ticket.He gets round the reg`s by purchasing a single onward journey ticket to either KL or Cambodia.He just throws the onward ticket away,and when it`s time to come home,he gets a new single ticket............

  8. I`m arriving in Bangkok on the morning of the 17th July and have to be in Buriram on the evening of the 20th.I`m planning on coming to Pattaya for these few days. What I would like to know is,how to get to Buriram from Pattaya? Do I have to go back to Bangkok (in which case,I might as well fly to Buriram),or can I get a bus/mini-bus (or taxi) direct to Buriram ?Has anyone done this journey ? Any idea`s on how much it`s going to cost ?

I bought Windows XP last August,on the Khao San Rd,I payed 180Baht for it and it was copied for me,while I waited.Got back to the UK,loaded it on my pc,and it worked fine............for a month,then asked me to register it online.Windows refused to register it (I was`nt surprised),and after chatting to the Windows rep,it turned out that thousands of people all over the world had tried to register this same disc. In Big C,Windows XP (in Thai) is about 600 Baht.I found Windows XP(English) in a shop ,priced at 6000 Baht plus. Finally,got a mate to give me a copy of his disc (in UK),cost me 20
