  1. Thanks for all of the replies and insight. I am still not sure about the restrictions some of you mentioned about banks sending cards via FedEx or DHL, as I have had Chase offer to send me replacement cards via FedEx in the past. Although, this was to my home in the US. In any case, I appreciate the info. Thanks SB
  2. Just a general inquiry, as I have heard both good and bad about the Thail postal service. Would anybody trust receiving a credit card through the mail in Thailand. I am concerned with the periodic re-issue of various cards once I retire to LOS, and whether I would be better off relying on FedEx or DHL service. Thanks in advance SB
  3. Thanks everyone, for the help and many suggestions. It is most appreciated. SB
  4. Thanks for the info. Very helpful. I'm wondering though, I have a business 800 number I need to dial up, so once I get the 009 access, can I just dial the 800 # direct. I've just never made calls back home from a mobile, and I want to avoid using any credit card or ATT card using a land line. Thanks again SB
  5. I will need to make some phone calls back to my home during my upcoming stay in LOS. I do have a Thai mobile that I picked up on my last trip. My question is to those that have done it frequently enough to suggest the best access #s and all. I've heard that there are 4 different access # that you first dial, 001, 007, 008, & 009. Do they all work the same, and have different rates? 's up wit dat? So, what is the easiest and cheapest from a mobile? Thanks in advance for all the great insight I'm gonna get from everyone. SB
  6. Thanks for posting. I have left you an email inquiry from your website for 2 weeks in Nov. I neglected to ask in my email if your condos have internet. Please let me know if you can. Thanks again. SB
  7. LMFAO And by the way, I tried one of the “Build Your Own Baht Bus” kits. I think they "saw me comin'" cause it didn't come with any instructions. hhhmmmmmm typical for the shit you get along Beach Rd. Thanks. SB
  8. Welcome young man. Good to see you here. Hope you like it mate. SB
  9. They installed wirelass about a year ago, so you should be good. I did hear however that in some of the further rooms the signal was a little weak. But the nice thing about it was being able to go sit by the pool and surf or work. They are very girl-friendly. No problem at all, on fees, etc. Very nice little place Ma Maison. SB
  10. Hey there buddy. There are two hotels that I have stayed that have high speed internet. The first is a little charm of a hotel on Soi 13 near Beach Rd. Internet is wireless. THis place is a real hidden treasure. Small and intimate. Nice restaraunt too. Ma Maison Hotel The other is the Eastiny Residence on Soi 10. Nice hotel. Rooms on the 7th floor have "wired" internet. Lobby and restaraunt have wireless. Eastiny Hotel Group has a website, but I don't have the URL, so here it is via a booking site. Eastiny Residence
  11. I recently had all my naked TG pic's deleted from Photobucket for being outside their censorship rules. How/where is a method to store photos for posting to the forum? Thanks for the help. SB
  12. I use a LD access from the following.Enjoy Prepaid My plan is a $.07/min plan, but they have plans down to $.04 with no surcharges or fees, and no expiration. Even lower if you accept a fee and/or surcharge. Local access #s also. SB
  13. I made an Inquiry to the Eastiny Residence on Soi 10. Sister hotel to the Eastiny Inn on Soi8. The have internet (wired connection) in the Deluxe rooms, and wireless in the lobby area. 1190baht/night incl breakfasts. I think I will be confirming to stay there. I thank all of you for the replies and suggestions. This is a GREAT forum. SB
  14. Yes, but I don't believe I've read or heard anywhere that they have internet connections in the rooms or wireless. I need to be able to connect my laptop. SB
  15. Thanks much for the info billrussell. Are you refering to the Eastiny Inn? This hotel is on Soi 8, and it is suggested to not barfine from Soi 8 bars due to having to walk past each day to and from hotel. So this kind of put this place in the "not so good" list of places to stay, due to the fact that I'll spend a lot of time with the ladies on Soi 8. But it sounds like you're refering to a diferent place. I also heard that the Eastiny Inn has a sister hotel. Is this the one you are refering to? Funny thing is, all the reviews I read talk about Eastiny Inn the 7th floor is the place
