Guys, the BaliTAYA resort, while being in the same general area, is not the one I was referring to. Balita House is definitely ON Soi Buakaow, not between SOi B and soi15. There was no construction noise at all when I was there. Allo lads, For those of you that don't mind staying on Soi Buakhao, I just checked-in to the Balita Hotel (this afternoon) for 650 baht p.n. The rooms are quite nice and perfect for cheap charlies that prefer a budget price with something new, clean and resonably stylish(for a change... :) Decent sized rooms, many (all?) with a balcony, nice bathroom, a toilet roll holder that you don't need to slip a disc to be able to reach........being new, the standard is high.... even a couple of flower petals on the bed for the romantics out there. *Free Wifi *in-room safe *in- room DVD player *restaurant downstairs. (no pool, though) Baht buses every few minutes ....or not THAT far of a walk to W.S if you don't mind leggin' it. Close to the Pattaya Tai end of Soi Buakhao, right on that bend in the road,next door to Alby & Micky Italian restaurant and the same side as Marin Place. Low season rates : 650 bt Clean, modern and extremely good value. Definitely a bargain. Try it out!
