  1. queens hotel on central road is cheap I've been told and it has a swimming pool.
  2. anna jet charges about 350 - 450 a night. why dont you try pig & whistle on soi 7 a few steps down from anna jet nicer rooms not much extra and great english food in the restaurant
  3. some things to be aware of a lady there. tallness, big hands, adams apple, hairy, deep voice.
  4. same here never been charged at sun shine. are you sure it was sunshine, I know sunbeam hotel on soi 8 charges for joiner
  5. no, you can stay in thailand fo 30 days without a visa, you only need a visa if you are staying longer than 1 month
  6. grs 90, is right there will be better places to stay for the same price with special offers for low season time.
  7. I stayed there before and used their taxi service to pick me up from the airport and they never asked me for a deposit. strange.
  8. eastiny hotel is most popular on soi 8, cheapest is high five hotel thats ok
  9. where ever you work on an oil rig you would earn at least £65000 a year maybe more.
  10. anto 24, electician is very good trade if you want to spend more time in thailand, I would recommend trying to get a bar there, why dont you try and find a job on the oil rigs you work 4 weeks then get 4 weeks off through the year, or just go sub contractor work 3 months take 6 weeks off I know alot of people who do that.
  11. the most popular disco I think is Lucifer on walking street thats the main part, it has live band playing r&b music that has always been busy when I have been in there.

  14. last year went to thailand for 1 month but in that time left the country twice then re-entered spent 6 days in phillipenes to get away from the songkran came back for 3 days then went to cambodia for 3 days then back to thailand for my last week

  16. there is queen victoria inn soi6 550-600bht a night. it is a traditional englidh pub serves good old english food
  17. I have been twice in october. it does rain quite a few days but only for an hour maybe less then stop and sun back out in seconds red hot so even if you got wet you would be dry within minutes
  18. never tell taxi drivers its your first time in thailand then they you dont know the rules and and get extra out of you
  19. does any body know what day its starts this year and what time it has to finish. 2004 it started on the 13th from 11am and finished at 6pm - 19th april same 6pm 2005 it started on the 12 from midnight and finished at 8pm - 19th april - 9pm

  21. when you land at bangkok airport dont get a taxi from inside they will rip you off walk outside of airport and go to the taxi booth
