My gf has been having some health issues recently, and I'd like to take her for an M.R.I scan to confirm or rule out some possible causes. Hopefully, everything will be fine but if the scan should confirm my worse fears I could not afford to pay for her care. I would have to get her on health insurance and do it that way (i'm not yet an expat sadly so don't have my own insurance to add her to). My concern is as to whether the scan results could be accessed by the insurance companies, which would in turn lead to her being uninsurable because of the pre existing serious condition.
