Hi i have book the lido beach on the beach road it looks nice but i wonder if any of

 

you ever stay there and what a bout their gust policy , do they have in room

 

safety box?

Haven't stayed there, but as a general rule, pretty much any hotel under 1000 baht a night doesn't have a joiner fee.

Emil is right. Another reason not to pay in advance.

A few years ago in BKK I was staying at the Ambassador Hotel. And paying less than 1000 B. Had stayed there several times previously with no problem. Came back one night with my (then) regular lady and was stopped by security. I had gotten a card when I checked in that showed I had reserved for two. Showed it to the guard and he went away with a most unhappy look on his face.

It happened again the next night...with a different guard. New hotel policy or just a security guard attempted rip-off? Anyway, showed the card again and went to the room.

The next morning I checked out.

 

I will NOT pay a joiner fee.

Checked it out in September this year, was in a cab and looked at the rooms etc, very sparsely furnished and not what I wanted. Went on to stay at the SunShine Hotel in Soi 8.

Plus factor would be the location.

stayed there about 3 yrs ago,fuckin awful.My toilet was blocked and they didnt give a shit(pardon the pun)had other rooms available but i had to sleep in 1 room and use the toilet a room on the floor below.All they had was a security man to try and do all the maintenance and the women on the desk just sat there knitting all day.She was a right fucking bitch!
