What is a condo ?

During research for accomodation I found something called a condo, what is that ?

I know appartment, furnished studio, hotel, guesthouse but a condo ?

Just imagine an apartment that you can buy. They're usually in hig rise buildings and, under thai law, foreigners can own them under certain circumstances.
