Hello

Are there any motorbike clubs out there where short or medium lenth trips are planned. I think it would be fun to travel in an organised group like they do on the bigger bikes, not all of us have enough cash to buy a big Harly. I also think it would be safer travelling in a group. Anyone out there think the same....

Hi Mate - Try contacting The Mad Dogs Motorcycle Club. They meet every Tuesday night at "The Other Place" Bar Soi 4 Jomtien Beach. They usually have a ride on the weekend. They have a web site - www.mdmc.org/thailand - They are a great bunch of guys - Treat them with respect and they treat you with respect.

Thanks for the reply and it looks like lots of fun,,, but I was thinkin more along the lines of a club for the smaller bikes 100 to 200cc class that the other 90 percent of us expats ride here in LOS. I would love to have a harley but the cost prohibits it. I have gone down as far as Rayong to the south and as far as Chonburi to the north but I would like to go further and explore more of Thailand, that is one of the reasons I am here. It makes good sense to travel in a group for safety and it would seem to be more fun. Also I have been places that many of you haven't and vise-versa so we could become each others tour guides.

Just some thoughts today I will head down to Baan Seray and look around, but it would be alot nicer to have more people along to share the experience.

There is a group not sure if it is a recognised club who hold runs on Sundays out of the Harley Bar. Most are on big bikes but they welcome anyone.

I often drive off into the country and apart from 2 punctures have never had a problem except once when the Thai authorities would not let me cross the border into Burma (Myanmar). There had been a border incursion up north somewhere and even though I was near Hua Hin in the south the whole border had been closed.
