Hello everyone. Going to pattaya for first time end of oct.Been to Phuket a couple times. Looking for decent room with a tub. Been working in this catbox of a country they call Iraq for a couple years and am would like to soak in some suds for R&R. Looking at rates from 700 to 1200 Baht. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Sabai Inn Soi 2 has tubs well the rooms I have had there did and I am guessing somewhere between 900 and 1150 Bath for a nice room. Good location close to BigC :chogdee2

Your needs are very basic, so I will offer a basic solution.

Welcome Plaza Hotel. - Excellent location, pool, and rates are currently 750 baht/night. I got 650 by emailing them directly and saying I would stay for 1 mo. in Nov. (Wheels up in 24 days!!) Most rooms have a balcony, and the ones on the sea side have the best view.

Yes the standard room has a tub. However, the rooms and bathrooms are worn, but are clean and roomy. So don't expect a sparkling bathroom, you get what you pay for. But I really use the room for only 5 things: Sleep, Sex, Shower, Shit, and to store my stuff.

That said, I have stayed here on 11 of my 12 visits to the LOS. You just can't beat the value for the money. And I have looked. Most other hotels with this price are of poorer quality and/or poorer location.

It's been a while but if I remember correctly the superior rooms have a Tub but the basic singles do not.
