Hi Fellow board members. Since this is my first post, I would like to thank every poster for all the helpful information. My last trip to Pattaya was 15 years ago (in those days 500 Baht LT was considered very generous indeed). So I am almost a newbie. My divorce has just gotten through so its time to have some fun. I will be in Bangkok/Pattaya from November 10-26 and would be happy to have a beer with any members.

Here is what I`m looking for: Girl friendly (of course). Close to the action. (Nice) pool area. Within 1500 baht price range. Breakfast incl. would be nice (but not necessary). Any suggestions will be appreciated. Please limit the flaming. I researched most of the posts and I`m still not sure. Maybe Nova Lodge or Sunshine Residence.

You won't have any trouble finding a room and some one willing to share it with you and nothing has really changed as the more things change the more they stay the same here in LOS :D

Nova lodge is a good choice, good location and quiet, if you have room looking the garden. Nautical inn soi 11, the oldest hotel in Pattaya (1961) is an other good choice. Together they cost about 1000 bahts. You will surprise some price are even more cheap in baht today. For example somme hotel at 800 baht in 1989 Peace resort (about USD 24) are now 700 baht (18 USD).

Have a look here to get some idea:

There are loads out there but this should set you on the way.

Already have, thanks.  But I would prefer firsthand information from people who have already stayed in the places themselves.
