Any of the bm's ever fly with Turkish Air, Lon-Bkk? Any opinions appreciated.

I've flown with Turkish Airlines a few times.Its I'd say at the lower end out of the economy priced carriers.But if you're going for price over quality then it's ok.There is a downside flying with them,one being a 5 or 6 hour layover in Istanbul airport.That was flying from Manchester-Ist-Bkk.From London maybe the time waiting for the connecting flight is shorter.On the upside join their frequent flyer program,it's called Miles and Miles.If you're a regular traveller and travel with them to Thailand for example 4 times you get enough miles for a free flight(taxes only to pay)(note their is an expiry date on miles accumulated,but it's a couple of years i think).I got a freebie last year and paid £78(taxes) which is a result.You also get to use their lounge in Istanbul(free Beer/snacks/refreshments etc).If you decide to fly with them join(it's free).Go to their website www.thy.com/miles and you can check it out more.

They are coming in about £30 cheaper than Etihad atm. I will check out their website and await any other feedback.

Have only flown Biz class with them, and consider them as OK, but nothing special.

Flights from LHR involve about a 1hr 30 min change both ways at Istanbul. Manchester depends on the day you fly, not necessarily the 5+ hr mentioned above. (Saturday is bad).

Not worth trying to save £20 or £30. Might just be tolerable if they were £200 cheaper than one of the direct carriers.
