Cock and Bull off soi diana

Recommended Posts

OnMyWay gave this review of the place last year.

I recall someone later saying it was up for sale and a change of ownership was on the horizon.

Does anybody know if the place is still up and running ?

Any information and views would be appreciated.

its a loud and noisy hotel, the soi is also loud and noisy until 1 to 2 am. you will hear high heels on tiles, and the idiots that are door slammers.

I wish I knew of the red pepper on the doorknob trick when I was staying there. I tolerated the place for 2 months.

I dont recommend any place on soi LK metro

I cosidered staying on Soi LK Metro, however, I am a light sleeper and a noisy Soi is not for me.

Can you recommend a hotel in a quiet area with resonable rates?

Thanks

Guido,

I would recommend the F&B, its an older hotel/restaurant, and is a walk up. The owners are very nice, 700bt a night.

I would check into a hotel, then walk over and have a look see, there may be the occasional door slammer, but if I remember the floor has (old) carpeting on it. Which does not bother me, and silences the high heel noise.

There are no bars in the immediate area, its a 1/2 minute walk to Tops.

So its a 3 minute to soi 7&8. The place was very clean and I stayed there for a month.

Stayed ther last Oct/Nov on Mark's recommendation for 4 weeks,I was very satisfied with ALL aspects ,well furnished large room and as I wanted a 1st floor room the only available one had no a/c but a very efficient ceiling fan plus owner provided me with new standard fan.All this was adequate and at no time did I miss the a/c.The total charge inc elect/water was 8000 BHt and was very satisfactory.

Rooms are equiped with fridge/sat tv/dvd/sofa+chairs/big bed and maid service linen change everyday.

I did occasionally hear the footsteps in the hall and a slamming door on occasions but WTF it isn't the RITZ.If you have a room with a/c then you pay separately for the elect used by a/c on a separate meter. All in all I found it to be very good value and would recommend it.There was talk about one owner wishing to sell out his share (this I know to be true) but do not know the outcome.
