O.K the GF got the visa, dated from last week, she is at home for the new year and will be back in Pattaya Sunday. Monday she will be searching for a 6 month ticket BKK/LHR/BKK.

Last time we bought one, we trapsed around from Agent to Agent, only to find the price was all about a 100bht difference betweem them.

Any ideas from you blokes ? I know we are aproaching the off season, but do you think anyone really has cheaper tickets than anyone else ?

Any info gratefully received

Nisan Manager at Cambodia Inter, 010035095, 261/5 Soi Buakhao, tells me go and get cheapest deal, bring to me I discount.

Bought my last Gulf Air return from him no problems, but remember the cheapest will be the worst, likely, Kuwait air 6 hour wait for connection in Kuwait! Not good whan its happenning, thats why its cheap.

Thanks lads,

I think it will have to be a direct flight for a Thai passport holder. It would meen getting transit visas for stopovers. Thunder I too am concerned about medical insurance. Then I go to the local A&E and wait behind the rest of the world to see a doctor ??? !!! Don't think they pay £80 an hour either. Might give BUPA a call. Christ, everyone wants to sell insurance nowadays, might ask at Tesco.

The best that I have found in Pattaya is;

KN Travel , 597/2 Moo 10 South Pattaya Rd. (Opposite the Bamboo Bar)

Tel +66(0)38-710967-70 Fax+66(0)38 429 143.

Thats the name of the place ! KN Travel along past Honey Lodge. GF is going there tomorrow. We have bought tickets there before. But will punt around for best deal. Thanks.

Many other travel agents get their tickets from them. Save the shoe leather.

Just go for a cheaper airline if you want to save money.

If you wish fly direct, consider EVA Air. They most certainly will have Thai speaking staff. BA next. Generally Thai is the most expensive and offers the least.

If she's a student, she may get a discount.

If considering indirect, start with Etihad, Qatar and Emirates. A good 10,000 baht less than direct flights.
