Apart from getting to and from the new Mercure, has anybody stayed there yet?

 

Looking for somewhere different to spend time with 1 lady in July.

There would be motorcycle taxis there right?

Great hotel but the location is the problem. It's behind Royal Plaza and Soi Buowkaow. If you have a car or bike, it's no problem but if you like to walk to places than it can be a problem.

I rate this hotel highly, stayed quite a few times. the hotel run a taxi back and forth along soi 15 down to 2nd road. At the beginning of soi 15 (on 2nd road), there is always some security guard in an orange t-shirt with a radio, waiting to call the taxi down for you. No need to walk.

 

Over the next couple of years, I believe the area surrounding the mercure is going to open right up, with a couple of condo's going in, along with a couple of shopping centres, so things will change.

 

All said, fantastic value for the bahts you pay. It really is a hidden gem in Pattaya.
