Don't bother with the Haven as it is a bit of a dump , especially compared to Dynasty/Residence Garden and Vault . The rooms are really run down , infested with ants & noisy . Unless you are a member of the golf fraternity the management will ignore you completely .

About the only good thing I can say about it is that the restaurant is one of the best in Pattaya but you don't have to stay there to use that as it's open to the public .

Tend to agree with Turbo, apart from the restaurant bit. (Unless they have improved things since February "ish") Used to be a very good fooderie would be more accurate IMO. :D

However, the rate of 750/night offered to you is good in comparison to what was normally required, so maybe the comments are biting.

Many of the rather obnoxious golfing fraternity stay next door in the Sandy Springs nowadays. :beer :banghead

This used to be my favourite hotel in Pattaya however they have raised their prices during the peak period to an unacceptable level. This year they are charging 1200 Baht/night during December, with the price being 2500Baht on Christmas eve and 2000 Baht on New Year's eve.

Last year they charged 1000 Baht/night and before that it was 800 Baht/night regardless of season. They have been trying to improve their rooms - newer aircons and replacing the carpets with tiles, but everytime I stayed there there was always a problem. Either the TV was not working or the water pressure was not correct.

I like the location of the hotel in Soi 13 since this Soi is halfway to the action - either Walking Street or Sois 7 and 8. Plus this hotel was one of the few that had in room safes when I first started staying there (1998 onwards). Now I have to find another hotel!

The 750 Baht rate is a good one and I agree with all the previous comments.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks for the informed comments - much appreciated and taken on board !

Suppose Im always searching for a little "jewel" and I like the location and the facilities the Hotel has to offer but not at the cost of a miserable holiday !

Have a friend over there now who will check it out first hand and i expect the result to be the same !

Maybe they will cop on and figure out that people do talk and share experiences - hopefully this will improve things for all of us in the future !

Thanks again !

PS I will keep searching !
