Areca Lodge - Front or Back Wing

I have stayed at the Areca Lodge three times now - love the location, always in a deluxe room always put in the back wing. Construction at rear doeesnt really bother me.

Is their any difference in the front wing ? Read somewhere that the front wing was preferable.

I am returning October and will request if is ?

In the front wing you have 2 chairs with cushions rather than the 1 big laid-back chair.

 

The front rooms have a full width balcony with a chair.

 

There are 2 shelves over the fridge area.

 

I was there in June 2009 and they have replaced the bedside tables with new units that have a large shelf and drawer, useful for underwear and other essential bedroom equipment. I was in Room 303.

 

Floor 2 has twin beds and if you are over the restaurant you can hear everybody moving their chairs about, AVOID !!!

 

Construction noise at the back is not bad now, Areca's new building is almost complete and the building site on the south side is currently quiet although more buildings will be built.

 

I prefer the front wing as the rooms are also cooler as they do not get the afternoon sun.
