The Irish Rovers. LK Metro. Review June 2009

Stayed here from the end of may until 22nd June and had a great time.

Had a large room with a balcony that overlooked LK Metro on the 1st floor.

Great AC and a large washroom with an easily adjustable shower head that did a fine job when two or three of you were getting ready for bedroom antics.

 

Because it is in the corner of LK you don't get as much noise as those up the street, so sleep was no problem at anytime, and with blackout curtains i could get my head down whenever i needed.

 

The menu has been expanded and offers good value British & Thai food throughout most of the day.

Bar prices are far from expensive and the selection is top notch.

Some lovely girls work at the Rovers and will happily chat with you without asking for Lady Drink ets, watch them at pool though, one or two are pretty good !

 

Dom & Pat are excellent hosts and offer good experienced advice about various pitfalls and places to avoid. They also do one or two tours per week that are well worth attending, Ban Chang was an especially eye-opening experience.

 

All in all i really enjoyed my stay and will be back as soon as i can

Gonna have to disagree with you on that, ฿145 for a vodka/diet coke in a LK Metro Guesthouse is pretty damn expensive.
