American Airlines flying to Shanghai

Recommended Posts

Just noticed that American Airlines is now flying to Shanghai. Delta is already flying there. I wonder if United will follow.

As far as times go, Shanghai is a much better connection to Bangkok and Narita from the US east coast.

This may be the nail that turns Japan Air from an international airline to a domestic airline. Actually I like JA, I just can't afford them.

I fly UA from Philly to IAD or ORD to Narita. Can you explain where the better connection to BKK comes in from Shanghai?

Last trip I flew PHL-IAD. I had a 2 hour layover. In NRT, I had a 3 hour layover. Coming back I had a 3 hour layover in NRT and a 3 hour 20 minute layover in SFO-PHL.
