Importing a Cat from UK to Thailand help?

Call me a softy, but I am intending to move to Pattaya within the next year or sooner and wondered if anyone could help with any info about me bringing my cat.  

i.e. Quarantine laws, companies arranging transport and cost etc.

Bringing a cat and dog to Thailand is not that  hard. I myself am bringing a dog into Thailand in about 2 weeks.

There are a few steps you need to take, but not that difficult to do.

 

I know if you call the airport and arrange your arrival time and fax everything about your cat you should be good to go. Also make sure all shots are C/W 20 days prior to arriving and have a health certificate done within 7 days of arrival

Have been trying to find a good home for my cat in the UK, but there are just too many unwanted pets here.

Why would you want to bring a cat to Thailand when the place is full of available pussy, morning noon and night !!

 

Sorry could'nt resist that but if your question is not a wind up I'm sure that bringing a pet animal into LOS would be a lot easier than importing the same animal into the UK.  As I understand it the UK has the tightest quarantine rules in the world (due to its desire to maintain its rabies free status).  Just speak to the airline you are intending to travel over on.

No, really it wasn't a wind up. I've got my other pussy waiting in Nong Ki for me   but hopefully I will be able to spend a little time in Pattaya before we meet up again.

Bit worried because she's a chef and says she loves cats. ;D
