I want to hook up my laptop to internet from my room. Does anyone know if Sabai Inn charges a flat rate for local call or do they do that crappy "per minute" charge?

Avoid Sabai Inn and Sabai Lodge if you want to use your laptop more than 20 minutes at a time. The cost per local call is 10 baht but you will be cutoff after 20 minutes.

 

Your better options are the Eastiny places on Soi 8 have no cutoff. I found that the Eastiny Inn, the one across from Flipper, has a flat rate 10 baht for however long you call. The new Eastiny Place say they charge 10 baht for every hour but when I checked out their system did not charge for the 1222 (nationwide access number) calls LOL.

 

The best option may be the new Koenig Hotel. The rooms are great and only 600 baht. The charge for an unlimited local call is 20 baht. The pool should be ready by now also.
