Low Season/High Season??

Is June /July considered to be the low season for thailand in general?,,Although i have just walked into hotels in the past with out booking a room,,i thought this time i would book on line,save me the hassle of wondering around the town looking for a place to sleep at 2am.

Should i book for june/july or just walk in and negotiate,as i will be staying 16 days,i have got a qoate from Flipper lodge 770 bht a night /sea view,,could i get cheaper by just walking in????

I have stayed there before,i like the place,not far from anything, and no noisy discos out side.
