I wondered the same thing myself so I tried the place for a week.  I was on the top floor facing the ocean.  It's a million dollar view, but there's no elevator...

The room itself had a small TV and a small refrigerator, and two single beds bolted together to make a king size bed.  There's no bathtub, only a shower.  The safe deposit boxes are at reception. I paid 1250 Baht, I think.

There's no problem with guests, from what I could tell.

And one other thing.  The food across the street at the pool is pretty good.

If I can figure out how, I'll put some pics in the Gallery.

This place is beat. View is good, except for big ugly windy Inn sign and rusted metal everywhere.  On Walking Street but actually do more walking than say RG due to baht bus routes. No phones/alarm clocks (which some may like, not me I like naps and play golf), nine inch crap tv. Walk downstairs 2 or more flights to order room service or anything else. Rooms old, overpriced by 2x compared to better rooms, treatment, amenties, you get at places like Flipper, Eastinny, Welcome Pattaya. Initially I was given room where shower sprayed evrywhere from leaks and tolet didn't flush (kind of embarrasing when I couldn't flush after I dropped a duece with TG in my bed) :P.  When I complained they tried to give me room reserved for another FLB member.  See hotel reviews. Trust me, walk into this place, check out old "suite" (which is just long narrow room with one small chair) for 1250 baht and then check out Welcome Pattaya, ask to see ocean view room, then pay half as much per night.
