Xmas flights from London

I was searching some of the comparison sites for reasonable Xmas flights (London to Bkk) with little success. I found that some Airlines had cheaper flights on Xmas day and saw Air China had some for £750 on lastminute.com.

Still too much, so i went direct to their website and found some at £520. Later on i checked again and they had flights for £490...some a few days before Xmas day ,some a few days after (return flight 2 weeks later).

 

That's damn good for the Christmas holiday. Only one issue. The stop over is 5hrs in beijing. The return layover is between 6 and 8hrs. Still, it's a £300-£400 saving on most of the other flights.

I booked my flight some time ago, but was looking for a friend who wants to join us. It's good to know he has some options available should he decide to actually book (though i think he may be one of these people who decides it's a great idea after a few pints....and not in the morning!)
