Hi Kid,

stayed for one week in March there.

Nothing to write home about, small rooms although clean, you can do better for 700 Bath.

Lots of Gay-Bars around. Guest friendly and no Joiner fees. The Staff (Desk, Cleaning etc.) was friendly

But i will never stay there again.

Here is the story:

I reserved a room via email where i just wrote that i dont know how long i will stay and ask the special rates for a long stay. At the checkin i said clear that i dont know how long i will stay.  After i found that the hotel is not the good deal i thought,  i wanted to check out and move to another horel.

On check out they wanted to charge my for 30 Days because i ask for the long stay rates in my email. The manager (a dutch guy) was insisting that we have a contract about a prepaid stay of 30 Days.

He ( not me) was geting pretty loud and unfriendly, so i left the hotel, without my baggage. The last words i ever hear from this guy was: "I dont give a fuck about customer....") and made a trip to the touristpolice.

I returned to the hotel and suddently the manager was not avaiable and i was not even allowed to use their telefon (i offered to pay of cause). Then after 30 minutes a Thaylady appered and tried to scare my with things like: "We will take you to court" and was telling  me obviously lies. After 10 Minutes she was losing here temper and i simply was leaving the hotel with the words "The Touristpolice will come soon." I made a call to the Touristpolice again and they said they will arrive soon. So i went back to the hotel and suddently the Thailady appeared again and everything has changed. She was waveing the checkinform before me and was telling something about "Oh we thougth you have signed here, but you dont have". Well if they would have been able to read their own checkinform they would have known that right at the beginning of this sad story.

10 minutes later i was on my way and as i left, i saw the manager sitting alone in his Hotelbar and starring in a glass of beer, surely his best friend.

I took a nice room  at the Sabai Lagde. A very nice hotel, 3 times better than the "Flamingo Hotel". It cost my all in all 5 houres to get away from this "hotel", just because the manager was not able to read his own checkinform.

So my final coment: "Stay away".
